Bakers, makers, donation tin shakers, car boot loaders, stall builders, decorators, supervisors, meeters and greeters, or just generous givers... time or donations, whatever you can give, the school will benefit.....
Here are some specific ways you can help out during the year:
1. The Christmas Fair This is the number one fundraiser for the school, beloved by the boys and their families. Full of festive cheer, this is a great event to get involved in and we are always looking for volunteers...the more, the merrier!
Here are some of the ways to help out: Good with figures? Help out behind a stall, or meet and greet visitors at the door Got a big boot? Help transport donation boxes from the school to the venue Got an artistic eye? Help decorate the hall with artwork from the boys A host with the most? Try a stint behind the coffee or bake stall, the busiest at the Fair! Showbiz skills? Take a turn on the Tombola, Raffle or Silent Auction stands Good organiser? Help us lay out the hall and fill the stands with produce Don't Mind the Heavy Lifting? Then help out at the set up and take down times (Friday and Sunday afternoon, 2 hours) A baker or maker? Bring baked goods of any kind, the more kid-friendly the better! ( Remember: no nuts)
What's involved: just 2- 3 hours - indicate your area of interest to the PA and we'll put you on the roster. And thanks!
2. Donate a prize for the silent auction Tickets to an event, gift vouchers for a spa, a round of golf, book tokens, food or drink hampers...all donations are welcome!
What you can do: Ask for a donation from a business where you shop regularly, let us know if they say yes and we will take it from there. Our past Christmas sponsors can be found here.
3. Trick or Treat, Bake or buy For the Halloween Trick or Treat coffee morning, or the Christmas Fair, we are delighted to get donations from all those brilliant bakers who can whisk up a cake or scones, buns and biscuits, to supply the most popular stands – we always run out of goodies! If you're allergic to the oven, you can always buy and donate from our local bakeries - we won't tell!
What’s involved: An hour or two of baking - get the kids involved – the day before either event, and hand into the school the morning of the event. (No nuts please.)
4. Come to a PA or School event We know how busy life can get, and that it can be hard to find time for school events, but one of the best ways to show your support for the school and the boys is just to come along. It's especially helpful if you are new to the school, a great way to meet other new parents and to get to know how the school works in a relaxed, informal environment.
The PA's fundraising activities rely on parents coming to events when they can - it makes such a difference. And we really appreciate all your help and support.
