Parenting Talk: Join us on Tuesday 6th March
The first Parent Talk of 2018 is happening Tuesday 6th March, 8pm, in Our Lady of Mercy Girls' School. Speakers Christina Penney and Lisa Grinde Budzisz are experts in Child Development and Mental Health and are also both mothers with children in Our Lady of Mercy and St. Marys.
They will be presenting and discussing two timely topics.
1. Mental Health, WellBeing and Mindfulness

2.T he Importance of Self-Regulation
Presented by Lisa Grinde Budzisz , Ph.D., Child Development Professor, Loras College, USA
In today’s society with a focus on the individual, instant gratification, consumerism, and non-stop social media, it is critical that our children are developing self-regulation. This presentation will outline the benefits of self-regulation and provide specific parenting suggestions for how to help your child(ren) develop this crucial skill across childhood and adolescence.
